Founded in 1995 by James Cavello and Margarite Almeida, Westwood Gallery NYC is located in the Bowery Arts District of Downtown Manhattan. The gallery has a 30-year history of programming that highlights historically overlooked artists, advances scholarship, and serves as a bridge between the community, collections, and education.

The gallery’s program is dedicated to reframing art historical narratives and illuminating significant artistic practices, while supporting the artist community and art ecosystem.
