William Shearburn GallerySt. Louis

Since 1992, William Shearburn Gallery has focused on the exhibition and acquisition of museum quality modern and contemporary American art.
William Shearburn Gallery’s program is multi-faceted. The gallery represents well known twentieth-century artists as well as fostering a commitment to a younger generation of artists. The gallery has mounted numerous one person exhibitions over the years -  Robert Motherwell, Cayce Zavaglia, Chuck Close, Kit Kieth, Andrew Millner, Bernar Venet, Joe Fyfe, Robert Rauschenberg, Tim Liddy, Joseph Havel, Ellsworth Kelly, Michael Eastman, among many others.  Our exhibition program is supplemented  by survey and group shows that investigate current themes in contemporary art within historic contexts.
The gallery also maintains a keen interest in the secondary market --  actively engaging in the Post-War secondary market with a specific interest in Abstract Expressionism, Color Field, Pop and Minimalism. The gallery advises and assists collectors and institutions in the acquisition and sale of artworks.  The gallery also helps clients with the logistics of storage, conservation, framing and shipping. With years of experience, William Shearburn Gallery has a strong reputation as secondary market specialists who offer, research and source artworks of exceptionally high quality with discretion.
