Dallas Art Fair
11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Located at the Fashion Industry Gallery – adjacent to the Dallas Museum of Art in the revitalized downtown arts district – the 2011 Dallas Art Fair will feature over 70 prominent national and international art dealers and galleries exhibiting paintings, sculpture, drawings, prints, and photographs by modern and contemporary artists. Enjoy a light lunch in the Dallas Art Fair Cafe or a boxed lunch will be provided for you during the home tours.
Dallas Art Fair Private Tour with a Local Collector

In past years, the collectors Patrick Collins (Chairman of the Board, Dallas Contemporary), Frank Herzog, Lester Marks, and Cindy Schwarz, among others, have provided tours of the Dallas Art Fair based on their expertise and areas of interest.

Open to the public since October 20, 2003, the Nasher Sculpture Center is one of the few institutions in the world devoted to the exhibition, study, and preservation of modern sculpture. Conceived as a serene urban retreat for the enjoyment of modern art, the Sculpture Center is the new home of the renowned Raymond and Patsy Nasher Collection of modern and contemporary sculpture. In previous years, Patron ticket holders received free admission to the Nasher Sculpture Center for the current exhibition opening and a 10% discount at the NasherStore throughout the Dallas Art Fair weekend. Dallas Contemporary Opening

Dallas Contemporary is a non-collecting art museum presenting new and challenging exhibitions from regional, national and international artists. Recently relocated in a repurposed industrial building in the Design District, Dallas Contemporary is a unique artspace with a rotating schedule of dynamic exhibitions. Neiman Marcus is one of the few retailers in the world with a corporate art collection – theirs was begun by none other than Stanley Marcus and is directed today by their on-staff art curator. In honor of the Dallas Art Fair, Neiman Marcus' renowned The Zodiac (downtown) and NM Café (NorthPark) will each feature a three-course, prix fixe menu April 7-10.
Dallas Arts District

Enjoy private, curator led tours of the Nasher Sculpture Center, Meyerson Symphony Center, AT&T Performing Arts Center, and a behind the scenes tour at the Dallas Museum of Art.
Panel Discussion Organized by Peter Doroshenko, Executive Director, Adjunct Curator, Florence Ostende, Dallas Contemporary

Please join a panel of noted art experts as they discuss their thoughts on private and public collections. Previous panel participants have included Klaus Kertess (former curator of the Whitney Museum of Art and 1995 Whitney Biennial), Michael Duncan (organizer of the Texas Biennial).
Dinner at Stephan Pyles
8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Stephan Pyles, named "Texas' Best New Restaurant of 2006" by Texas Monthly, is located just steps away from the Dallas Arts District. The menu features New Millennium Southwestern Cuisine. The focal points of the restaurant include the display kitchen, three distinct dining areas along with a ceviche bar, communal table, wine room as well as an al fresco terrace dining area. Dallas Cowboys' Stadium Art Collection Private Tour

The stadium owner contracted a group of the city's foremost collectors and museum curators and with the leadership of a professional art advisor, they put together a world-class collection of contemporary art. The collection consists of 19 commissioned and original works of art by established and emerging contemporary artists. All of them have pieces in permanent collections of prestigious museums across the country and around the world.
